Length 6.0 km Elevation gain 205 m Route type – Loop
This 6.0-km loop trail near Mount Tamborine, is generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes less than 2 hours to complete. This area is very popular for bird watching, hiking, and running.
This is a beautiful trail through a peaceful patch of Tamborine National Park. The route combines two tracks, Witches Chase Track and Witches Falls Circuit. The starting point is on Witches Chase Road on Mount Tamborine. There is a grassy area on the side of the road where you can park.
The track takes you to Witches Falls Lookout, located low down in the valley and a great spot to have a picnic and enjoy some birdwatching. The trail itself is clearly marked and easy to follow, featuring plenty of shade amongst the beautiful rainforest.
There is a little scramble section on Witches Chase but not difficult. It could be muddy so bring a change of clothes and shoes as we can pop into a coffee shop after the walk.
