A lovely 17km circuit through the rainforest of Lamington NP. We will meet at Binna Burra top carpark at 8am to start walking soon after.
We’ll start off on the Border Track, turn off on the Coomera Circuit and descend gradually to the Coomera Lookout with a view of the Falls. We then continue on up the valley beside the creek, past many pretty cascades and waterfalls with several creek crossings (stepping stones), back up to the Border Track with a 8km tramp back to the carpark.
We will expect to take 6-7 hours… bring a substantial morning tea, lunch, water, plenty of insect repellent and the usual daywalk gear. Poles are highly recommended for creek crossings and wet slippery track sections.
Note that if the weather gods are against us and there is heavy rain in the week preceding or forecast on the day, the walk will be postponed for a later date.
