Gheerulla circuit, Mapleton NP DW L 4 4

This walk is part of the very scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk and is the only section that can be done in one day as a loop (rather than returning the way you came). It’s about 17-20km (5-6hrs) and involves creek crossings and hills, so is best suited to moderately fit walkers who don’t mind getting muddy wet feet. The start is about 2hrs from Cleveland and parking is limited, so carpooling is recommended.

Please check the daywalk kit list for what to bring. Poles are highly recommended for the creek crossings, and clean clothes to change into before driving home.
