Kosciusko Snow Shoeing

The iconic Kosciusko snow shoe trip is on again this October.
We would stay around Jindabyne for 8 nights starting Monday 2nd October, with various day trips to the snow each day.

Snowshoes are the easiest way to get around on snow, and a natural progression for bush walkers who want to explore a different kind of Australian wilderness. The week’s walking program will include trips to Mt Kosciusko via Crackenback chair lift, Blue Lake, Charlottes Pass, Porcupine Rocks and Cootapatamba Hut. The walking format would be similar to the 2017 trip (see Video) All walks are optional. There are many other places of interest to be explored if walking is not possible due to weather etc. If snow is not soft walking in boots is possible.

Its approx 1400 km to Jindabyne. So that could be two overnight stops on the way down and two on the way back.

A viewing of the video of the 2017 snow trip is highly recommended to give a clear idea of the environment and activities. It can be viewed at:-
