Mt Barney Lodge and Campground is about 90 minutes from Brisbane with campfire facilities, creek frontage and spectacular mountain views.
It has various types of accommodation including a homestead, cabins, glamping or the spacious campground.
There is a two night minimum stay on weekends.
Non-powered Camping starts at $16p/p per night and cabin accommodation starts at around $50p/p per night.
This basecamp is a social event with various levels of walks on offer.
(Volunteers for leading walks please)
We plan to have a communal fire each night and the club will provide free nibbles around the campfire for our sunset happy hours.
Winter is Mt Barney’s busiest time so if you are planning to come along book as early as possible (numbers are capped). Book on the Mt Barney Lodge Website and either ‘Attend’ on the Meetup site or contact Vicki Cox on 0400 257677.
What to bring:
1. own meals and drinks, and eating and cooking utensils (Unfortunately no fridges and no camp kitchen so bring your cooker and eskys)
2. Warm clothing and bedding. Nights expected to be quite cold. Note: linen is not provided in cabins and homestead but you can hire it
3. As much firewood as possible🤣
