Python Rock Lookout and Pats Bluff SDW 3 C

A relatively easy morning walk for the Saturday of the Christmas camp (Spring Gully Stays). Approximately 6km return through rainforest, dry forest, and the last section in the open along the clifftops to the bluff, with spectacular views down into the valley and across to Main Range. The track is generally flattish, on graded track to Python Rock Lookout, then on a footpad across leaf litter and tree roots (possibility of treefalls to climb around). A gentle ‘down’ towards the bluff and a gentle ‘up’ on the way back, but nothing too challenging, and I’ll be very happy to go as slow as necessary.

It may be hot and sunny out near the bluff where we will have morning tea… recommend hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, poles may be useful if you generally use them, water, snacks and the usual daywalk gear.

We will leave from the campsite at 7:30am, but if anyone wishes to come from home to join us as a day walk, we can arrange to meet you at the start of the track (a small carpark about 1km before you get to O’Reillys campground). Please let me know when signing up if you are coming from the camp or just for the day.
