Yul-Yan-Man and Mt Tibberoowuccum Circuit DW M 4 C

This is an iconic day walk in the Glasshouse Mountains through various habitats and with frequent spectacular views. The total distance is about 14 km and is mostly on-track with only short minor off-track and rock scrambling sections. The elevation gain along the undulating ridge line Yul-Yan-Man track is approximately 200 m and the climb up Tibberoowuccum is 134 m. No technical climbing is involved, though some sections are quite steep.

We start at the trailhead parking lot in Beerburrum next to the State School (see map) and then pick up the Yul-Yan-Man track connecting with the Trachyte Circuit to Mt Tibberoowuccum and then return to the cars at Beerburrum via the Soldier Settlers Trail. There is a good coffee shop at the end for a relaxing break before we head home. We should arrive back in the Redlands late-afternoon.

Bring all the necessary day walk items as per the Club’s checklist, including plenty of water and food (morning tea and lunch), sturdy footwear and hiking poles if you use them. Also, a change of clothes and shoes if you are carpooling in someone else’s vehicle.

For safety and comfort reasons, this is a fair weather event so please regularly check the messages on the event Meetup site for any changes or other advice.

Carpooling will be directly organised by the leader prior to the event.
