Bribie Island: Woorim to Woorim via Red Beach to Bongaree and Cycle Track DW 3C
This is a 15klm level circuit beach and cycle way walk. We plan to leave Redlands at 6.30 am and meet at Bluey car park, North St, Woorim. (near the toilet block) ready to start walking at 8.30
We have recently walked this one and encountered lots of erosion from Cyclone Alfred on the beach so be prepared for some tree hopping and scrambling up embankments. Conditions may have eased but be prepared to get wet shoes as taking shoes on and off at each creek crossing is not manageable. When we arrive at Bongaree we will then walk across the island on the cycleway. This is adjacent to the Road so there will be traffic. However the path is very pleasant to walk along.
Bring usual day walk gear (be prepared to get wet feet) and a change of clothes for the journey home.
