Come along to our meeting, held at the Lions Club Hall, 122 Shore St North Cleveland from 7pm. Meeting starts at 7.15pm.
This month the Club’s Vice President, Gordon Hemphrey, will be sharing with us his recent adventure — the Gulf to Gulf bike ride. This ride starts at Port Augusta in South Australia on the shores of Spencer Gulf and travels all the way to Karumba on the Gulf of Carpentaria in northern Queensland — a distance of around 2,200 kilometres. It’s a ride that crosses deserts, plains, and tropics, showcasing the vastness and beauty of inland Australia. Gordon will take us through the route, some of the highlights and challenges along the way, and what it’s like to experience this epic adventure on two wheels.
