Mt Allan from Booloumba Creek – MDW 3B 10.1kms

Mt Allan from Booloumba Creek MDW 3B 10.1kms, 564m elevation gain, about 4 hrs. out and back. Members are welcome to join us for the day if not camping at Kookaburra Park. We’ll carpool and leave the showgrounds at 7.30am to be ready to start walking at 8.00am. Walk from the Booloumba Creek Area Day use area (4WD required to access) to Mount Allan. Graded track with 3 creek crossings, so possible wet feet. Bring morning tea, lunch, 2lt water and the usual day gear, poles may be useful if you like to use them.
If using a 2WD car we can walk from Booloumba Creek Area 1 campground, adding an extra 40 minutes to the hike. (19 mins car travel to walk start).

All walkers are to meet at Kookaburra Park and travel together in the 4WD vehicles to Booloumba Creek day use area where the walk will commence. There is no phone reception at the day-use area.
If we are all staying at Kookaburra Park there could be an option to leave earlier as the weather will be warmer then.
