Purling Brook Falls Circuit SDW 3B

Purling Brook Falls – 4km 197mt elevation gain 3B
Meeting at the Settlement Day Use Area: 35 Carricks Rd, Springbrook (toilets, picnic benches).
This walk is part of the Springbrook Basecamp but non campers are welcome to participate. We can fit this walk in before setting up camp on our return. Viewpoints, waterfalls, swimming holes, wildlife, name it, it is there!
This walk is well signposted, and easy to follow. We’ll follow the track in a clockwise direction to go down the 450 steps and back up via a much gentler gradient.
Swimming at the base of the falls is discouraged, instead we can follow the track down another 2 kms to Warringa Pool if we feel like a dip. This is to limit impact on the wildlife in the pool at the base of the falls but will add to the walk duration. We have plenty of time before setting up camp.
Bring the usual day gear, some morning tea, lunch in case we walk extra kms for a swim, optional swimmers and towel.
