This walk is part of the Springbrook basecamp, but non camping members are welcome to drive down for the day.
This is a 12.7 km circuit with an elevation gain of 617 mt and will take approximately 4.5 hrs. The Warrie Circuit is the longest and most interesting track on the Springbrook plateau. It follows the base of The Canyon cliffs to Goomoolahra Falls before descending into the mossy green depths of the rainforest.
The track (named with the Aboriginal word ‘Warrie’, meaning ‘rushing water’) crosses several creeks and gullies. After reaching the ‘Meeting of the Waters’, where all watercourses draining The Canyon meet, the track then heads up the western side of the gorge. Expect rock hopping over the creek beds and tree roots along the track.
Bring Morning tea and lunch, and all the usual day walk gear.
